Redfish Builders is a design build firm with 25 years defying the norm of construction. Redfish specializes in passive houses and is committed to creating energy resilience and net zero communities through a movement called Living Zenith.
Redfish Builders is Utah’s leading passive house builder with expertise in net zero residential development, most recently cutting the ribbon on Utah’s first Net Zero Community with six net-zero homes near downtown SLC in the Historic Liberty Park District.

Tiffany Ivins
With over 25 years combined development and construction experience Mitchell Spence and Tiffany Ivins lead Redfish’s team. Having started from scratch with remodel and small build projects the team has progressed through a series of increasingly complex developments to where they now oversee large multi-unit developments and projects from multi-family to mixed use urban communities.
Through all of their projects runs a common thread: bringing innovative, cutting edge technologies and approaches to make living more comfortable, safer and more sustainable.

As a husband and wife team, they share a common history of having worked around the world as both volunteers and in for-profit businesses to improve the lives and station of people from all backgrounds. Bringing a savvy and seasoned perspective that comes from years working on international projects, their experience is now culminating in a vision of an entirely new future for residential housing.
OUR PROJECTS
Living Zenith at Liberty Park
Located at 1172 S 400 E Salt Lake City, UT the first Living Zenith community represents the culmination of years of research, innovation and development excellence. The first truly Net Zero community in Utah, each of the six units in this community presents unique energy efficiency and build materials that puts these homes in an entirely new category when it comes to quality of living.
With a modern Euro-aesthetic and a choice of elegant but enduring and tasteful design throughout each home presents beauty and comfort that are worthy of the accompanying energy efficiency and sustainable materials selections.
The first home was completed in January of 2017 with the full community scheduled for completion in the summer of 2017.
Arlington Community
Redfish addressed the question of the “missing middle” with these high-end townhomes near the UofU. Six snug brick homes on a private hillside that filled a niche for strategic infill through thoughtful use of space. While other builders and realtors scoffed at this approach, Redfish broke new ground and these haute homes sold before they were even built. Since then, similar townhomes have cropped across SLC.
